Bar Stool
Designed by Basile Studio
These outdoor bar stools will be featured outside a dining hall in the heart of Little Italy, San Diego. They sit on swivels that have return locators and are anchored directly into the concrete. The real impressive part of these chairs are that the entire upper portion can be removed every day at closing by simply unlocking two quick-releases. They are lightweighted for easy lifting to be placed on the bar at the end of every shift.
CNC Cutlist
Creating a CNC cutlist is a huge advantage from CAD models. In an effort to create clear instructions, I create cutlists with material callouts and defined flat patterns for sheet metal parts.

CAD
This CAD model helped create a proof-of-concept for the quick release seat mechanism. With precision engineering, the correct sized holes were able to be machined into the seat to allow for an exact turn of the quick-release to function as expected. Additionally, both seats are removable and replaceable in case of damage. Once the seat is removed there only metal section left is completely sealed and weld shut to prevent rain or bugs from seeping into the pipe.
